40 degrees and all's well !!

Dateline Delhi

Its 40 degrees and all's well !

Delhi seems to be pretty much oblivious of the soaring mercury, going about their work with placid indifference. The nimbu pani sellers are out doing brisk business, the street boys continue to play cricket under the blazing sun, whilst the cattle have parked themselves comfortably under the shady neem trees. The Red Fort sandstone blazes in the sun, and Chandni Chowk across the road seems as crowded as ever !

As one tries to cross the road, from the Red Fort side to reach Chandni Chowk, one admires the dexterity with which the regular Delhites manage to cross the road - should I try and emulate them ?? My weak liver holds me back, but the urge to reach Chandni Chowk gets the better of me - I lunge forward, eyes partially closed, will I make it ??? A few seconds later I'm across, safe ! I say a silent prayer, and resume my tryst with Chandni Chowk..

The hustle bustle greets you with the familiar feel of Indian cities, the rickshaw puller ring their bell with apparent disinterest, you see them lost in their intent and at the last moment quickly step aside.... the pedestrians move with a sea like calm as you squirm for your space within them, swept along, like the nondescript waves of the ocean...

Having found your space the romance of the location starts seeping in.. the wide array of shops, the road side foods stalls selling mouth watering delectables, the jalebis and samosas, the kulfi seller, a small riotous crowd around him, all jostling to get their order faster, earlier.. the aromas are overpowering .. should I settle for a samosa or a kulfi ? Choices, decisions.. I defer it for the time being and get back to soaking the multitudinous sights..

Watch out for my escapades in Chandni Chowk in my next blog !!

Sania Misery and Sham Malik

Its all about money honey !!

With the menage et trios of Shoaib (Sham), Sania (misery) Mirza and Ayesha ( sour grapes ) getting murkier, its money that seems to be driving it all !!

Now he does it.... What took him so long ???? Was he lying to Sania to add to her (mirza) misery ? Perhaps the Siddiqui's had paid him heavily for the nikkah, and now wanted revenge for being spurned ? Who knows, but the truth does not remain hidden for too long, so watch this space for the latest when it happens ....
